The Calling’s wines are sourced and made from some of the most prestigious vineyards and winemakers in Sonoma County. Superstar winemakers Dan Goldfield and Marco DiGiulio oversee every aspect of The Calling’s winemaking, continuing both winemakers’ long tradition of making acclaimed wines from Sonoma’s top appellations.
Dan Goldfield, Chardonnay & Pinot Noir Winemaker
Dan is one of Sonoma’s most esteemed Pinot Noir and Chardonnay winemakers. His career stretches from Robert Mondavi to Schramsberg, La Crema, and Hartford Court, and he is recognized for having developed some of Sonoma’s most in-demand vineyard sites. In 2010 he was awarded Winemaker of the Year at the Sunset Western Wine Awards. Today, Dan continues his tradition of making Sonoma’s most esteemed Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays with his work at The Calling.
Marco DiGiulio, Cabernet Sauvignon Winemaker
Marco DiGiulio became one of California’s most in-demand winemakers after gaining celebrity for his wines at Lokoya and Pine Ridge wineries. Wine Spectator called him "one of Napa’s leading wine consultants," awarding a series of 90+ scores to his Lokoya wines, including 98 points for his 1997 Lokoya Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon. Today, Marco uses his considerable talents to craft The Calling Cabernet Sauvignon from the Alexander Valley’s finest fruit.
