Production Notes
Hand-picked fruit from the Sullivan Vineyard was barrel-fermented with native yeasts followed by 100% malolactic fermentation. The wine was aged sur lie for 11 months in French oak.
Winemaker Notes
The 2017 vintage saw inconsistent temperatures throughout the growing months. The cooler early spring months delayed grapevine flowering slightly, but cluster sizes remained bountiful. Summer heat spikes progressed harvest
and allowed for only partial irrigation to vines. Once temperatures cooled off in early fall, the grapes were able to ripen gradually, resulting in full flavor development and excellent structure.
