2017 Patriarch Pinot Noir Magnum
Hailing from the Putnam Vineyard on the far west Sonoma Coast. Blackberry, Bing cherry, red plum and fresh herbs on the nose, with a concentrated palate of red fruits, citrus peel, and velvety soft tannins.

The Patriarch is our flagship Pinot Noir and truly the patriarch of our portfolio: complex, balanced, and full-bodied. Putnam Vineyard is a stunning place to grow Pinot Noir - coastal influence, mineral-rich Goldridge soil, towering redwoods, and the wonderful Putnam Family, who have been stewards of their remote and idyllic parcel of land since 1977.

Tasting Notes
Dark red and black fruits with savory dried herbs on the nose. The palate has velvety tannins and concentrated fruit flavors, with Bing cherry, pomegranate, and citrus peel interlaced with a hint of minerality from the ancient sea-bed soil. Medium-bodied, concentrated, and luscious, with delightful layers of flavors throughout each sip.
Production Notes
Grapes were hand-picked, hand-sorted and de-stemmed. They underwent a five-day cold soak followed by fermentation with daily punch-downs by hand to enhance flavor extraction.
Putnam Vineyard
Putnam Vineyard is situated on the extreme Sonoma Coast, just six miles from the Pacific Ocean. 400-year-old redwood trees surround the vineyard on all sides and are scattered throughout the rows of vines. The coastal climate and Goldridge sandy loam soils result in wines with plenty of richness along with high-toned finesse.
