Tasting Notes
Beautiful concentrated ripe fruit and notes of creme brulee on the nose lead to a full palate of apple butter, ripe melon & hazelnut with integrated oak and a long persistent finish.
Production Notes
Hand-picked fruit from the Sullivan Vineyard was barrel-fermented with native yeasts followed by 100% malolactic fermentation. The wine was aged sur lie for 16 months in French oak.
Winemaker Notes
The 2016 vintage was an excellent growing year, with a warm and dry winter, just like the previous four vintages. Bud break happened at a normal time, even though there were above average temperatures and once again, low rainfall totals. Cooler temperatures in
