James MacPhail's Notes
This spectacular wine was made in our very first vintage partnering with the Putnam family in the extreme northwest corner of the Sonoma Coast AVA. The wine continues to shine with velvety richness and high-toned finesse. Over time, the more savory notes have continued to emerge, making this 2014 vintage a complex and layered conversation-starter. Drink now through 2024.

- Sonoma Coast
Putnam Vineyard is situated on the extreme Sonoma Coast, just six miles from the Pacific Ocean. 400-year-old redwood trees surround the vineyard on all sides and are scattered throughout the rows of vines. The coastal climate and Goldridge sandy loam soils result in wines with plenty of richness along with high-toned finesse.Explore Vineyard
