The Dutton family farms more than 1,100 acres of vineyards—a collection of over 60 non-contiguous parcels in the Russian River Valley AVA. Originally leaders in the apple industry, patriarch Warren Dutton began planting wine grapes in the early 1970s as the budding commercial wine industry first began making its way into the area. Generations later, his family presses forward with his legacy, with a family-wide dedication to growing the best wine grapes in the region. The Dutton family is revered worldwide for their impeccable vineyard management, commitment to sustainability, exceptional fruit quality, and ultimately, the acclaimed wines that result from their tireless efforts.

Winemaker James MacPhail works closely with Dutton family members each vintage to pinpoint just the right fruit, landing on distinctive parcels that, when blended together, deliver a layered, complex Chardonnay that embodies the generations of care behind each and every vine, as well as the singular terroir of the Russian River Valley.
