The Russian River Valley is admired across the globe for its world-class Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Zinfandel. Receiving American Viticultural Area (AVA) status in 1983, the Russian River Valley now includes over 15,000 planted acres and is home to some of the world’s most renowned winemakers and growers. Stretching from Mendocino County in the north to the Petaluma Gap along its southern border, the valley typically sees warm, sunny days with a consistent fog arriving in the evening to cool and protect grapes overnight. With a mild, Mediterranean climate, sandy and well-drained soil, and the Russian River at its heart, the area benefits from a natural environment perfectly suited for grape-growing.

We obtain fruit for our wines from several locations throughout the Russian River Valley AVA, with each vineyard site contributing critical, unique aspects to the complexity of the resulting wines. Vineyards located in the warmer end of the Russian River Valley contribute ripe fruit elements while cooler sites lend a strong minerality and structural backbone, and vines at altitude—grown in sandy, well-drained soil—add complexity and structure.

Our Gold tier wines are carefully-crafted blends produced from grapes grown in various vineyards throughout the AVA, selected specifically to bring balance, character, and embody the region as a whole. Additionally, several of our Platinum tier single-vineyard sources reside within this renowned region, chosen for their exceptional quality and distinct flavor profiles.
